The Effect

The magician displays a coffee can, showing it from every angle — lid off, contents visible — it’s clearly filled with real coffee. Everything appears completely normal.

After closing the can, the magician talks about the trend of latte art, then introduces an E.S.P. deck, displaying all the classic symbols: the circle, the plus sign, the square, the star, and the wavy lines.

A spectator freely selects one symbol.

They’re asked to imagine tracing their chosen design in the coffee — as if drawing with their finger in sand.

When the can is reopened, something truly impossible has happened:
the chosen symbol now appears in the surface of the coffee itself.

And yes — you can pour out the coffee at the end. Everything looks real because it is.
